Thank you for writing. Pain in the ankle after a game of sports that persists after 2 months will need to be checked carefully. It would be important to evaluate if the problem arises from the bone, joint or ligaments. A very common injury to the ankle from basketball would be a ligament tear in the ankle. This results in instability of the joint. If left untreated, it can cause associated injuries to the joint as well as premature degenerative changes. I would suggest that you go see an orthopaedic surgeon for an evaluation.

Hello and thank you for your query. The problems in the knees are most commonly due to osteoarthritis. This is a degenerative condition in the knee due to age. It can also be due to previous injuries to the knee. Treatment for this will depend on the severity of the condition. Do arrange for a consultation with your orthopedic doctor and let the doctor assess the condition of your knee. At times a simple course of medication or exercise will suffice, and if bad a knee replacement can be considered.

Hello and thank you for your query. I believe you mean your cousin fell and suffered a fracture of the hip. It is common that we do surgery to fix the fracture of the hip after a fall. This is to ensure proper restoration of form and function to the hip. The type of surgery to be performed and its risks will depend on the fracture configuration and other patient factors. it would be wise to discuss these with your doctor.
